The war of 1812
The war of 1812 was a very short war, in comparison to other wars, as it only lasted 32 months. The conflict between the United States and the British Empire and their Indian Allies resulted territorial change between the British and the United States. The war of 1812, was fought in three different ways. The first way was at sea, using naval war ships. The second way was by land battles,which were fought on the American and Canadian frontier. The third way was in the American South, where they saw major land battles, in which American forces battled British and their Indian Allies. During the war, both sides invaded each others territory. But most of these invasions were unsuccessful or temporary. At the end of the War of 1812, both the United States and Canada occupied parts of the others land. But, the areas were restored by the treaty of Ghent. The American lost 2260 men in action, 4505 men were wounded, and an estimated 15000 died from all causes. The Canadians lost 1600 men in action, 3679 were wounded and 3229 men died from diseases
